The carer was an spontaneous sculpture modelled with clay during the first covid-19 lockdown in United Kingdom in 2020. Since it started, the concept of care has been deeply embedded in the collective consciousness. This period of history has highlighted the importance of public resources to guarantee efficient and reliable care for everyone.
Care, kindness and concern for those who are unable to care for themselves, especially on account of age or illness is an urgent political responsibility.
In this case, The carer depicts someone who is beyond race, nationality, language, religion, names and labels, and who cares for people regardless of these considerations.
All prints are carefully handled with gloves. Each print is stamped, signed and numbered by the artist´s hand on the back. It is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued exclusively by Tania Blanco.
